Master’s Thesis, Texas A&M University, Texas, USA August 2018 – December 2019
• Implemented FEA simulation on symmetric structures using ANSYS workbench and aimed to minimize the effect of parasitic drift and provide maximum linear displacement.
• Compared polymer materials and selected ABS material for computational models (4 cases) best suited for the required results.
• Prepared stiffness and displacement graphs by exporting data from ANSYS results in Microsoft Excel to compare the structures and select optimized model having maximum linear displacement and negligible vertical displacement with minimal stress and maximum displacement.
