The Walt Disney Studios seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Studio Research & Analytics team. The Business Intelligence Analytics team is a highly visible department that is charged with finding the best methods to understand consumer thoughts, feelings, and behaviors across digital and social channels. They play an integral part in aiding key business decisions for Disney+, Hulu, and theatrical content across Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Pixar, Disney Live Action, and Walt Disney Animation. You will join a dynamic group who love movies and TV series, and are passionate about bringing the consumer voice into studio decision-making every day.

You will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data related to our digital and social media efforts, providing valuable insights and recommendations to drive informed business decisions. This is a highly visible role that requires exceptional analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of digital and social media platforms, and the ability to organize, visualize, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide business intelligence alongside domestic and international reporting for streaming & theatrical campaigns
• Be the voice of the consumer. Effectively communicate both quantitative and qualitative findings with timely, relevant, and actionable insights to support tactical short-term and long-term strategic decision-making
• Present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including executive levels in the company
• Translate strategic business questions into data-informed insights by proactively exploring analytics resources & requirements
• Leverage digital and social listening tools to track, trend, and understand consumer behaviors, expressed preferences, and responses to Studio media and marketing efforts
• Develop prototype solutions, including reports and dashboards, to support insights with visualization of complex data sets
• Identify metrics that matter to business outcomes by collaborating with advanced analytics teams to develop KPIs supported by a robust analytic framework
• Act as a liaison to data engineering teams - communicating project goals, business needs, and deadlines in order to efficiently organize, innovate, and optimize our datasets.

Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics with experience in research, social media, consumer data, or digital marketing
• Proficiency with SQL, and the ability to extract and combine disparate data sources
• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization software, e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Power BI, Domo, etc.
• Strong understanding of design best practices for dashboards and presentation decks
• Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to make clear and concise visual presentations
• Ability to extract data and combine with other data sources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business
• Ability to work rapidly and efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Proficiency with social and digital media analytics provided by Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Google and other analytics tools, e.g. NetBase, Sprinklr, Listenfirst
• Familiarity with website analytics tools, e.g. Google Analytics
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Drive (Sheets, Slides) systems
• Experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages
• Exceptional analytical thinking and mathematical skills
• This role requires in-person collaboration from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Friday

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field.

The hiring range for this position in California is $85,300.00 to $114,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
