Role Summary
At Rivian, we prioritize Quality and Reliability as the cornerstone of our mission. As a Senior Data Analyst specializing in this field, you will play a pivotal role within our dynamic, diverse, and top-tier team. Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and operators, you will leverage big and small data from our world class factory specifically from our manufacturing processes, suppliers, and service operations to generate insights and dashboards showing the performance, quality, and reliability of our innovative product line-up on a global scale. Your expertise in front-end and visualization tool development will be instrumental in ensuring that data is accessible, available, and actionable for a wide group of cross-functional stakeholders with the purpose of driving critical changes and actions across our manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities
• Utilize extensive dimensional, manufacturing equipment and time series data to extract valuable statistics and insights about failures to drive improvements in production quality and customer experience.
• Develop cutting-edge visualizations and intuitive dashboards to bring data accessibility to a whole new level across the factory, enabling stakeholders to easily interact with and derive insights from complex datasets.
• Conduct methodical end-to-end research on algorithms, with a focus on prototyping, validation, and iterative improvement, while maintaining a practical approach to technological advancements.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports to ensure data content and quality meets business needs.
• Identify data sources for potential value and invent new means to gather insights
• Monitor key product metrics, understand root causes of changes, and create dashboards and reports
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases for analysis
• Develop and maintain data visualizations, pipelines, and dashboard enhancements
• Foster collaboration among peers by creating well-structured, adaptable designs and code that promote teamwork and practical solutions.

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or applicable discipline (Masters Preferred)
• 4+ years of industry experience in a data analyst role or applicable Ph.D. 
• At least 4 years of experience with SQL, Python and Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau. Thoughtspot, PowerBI, etc.)
• Hands-on experience creating complex dashboards and data stories using data analytic tools
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, trend and root cause identification, and statistical modeling
• Ability to communicate technical data concepts into actionable data for the busines
• Experience with software-defined vehicles or similarly complex systems  (preferred)
• Experience in the field of manufacturing, quality (preferred)
• Experience with front-end development and tech stack React query, NextJS, TypeScript, (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing development environment
