Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, or natural language processing.


Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in successfully applying machine learning approaches to real-world personalization problems.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TFX or TFlex.
• Experience with building large language models.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, with strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and programming skills in Python.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy personalized large language models (LLMs) to empower search and recommendation systems for a variety of applications.
• Conduct applied research on new LLM techniques for concrete product use cases.
• Work with collaborating teams (e.g., research, search, discover, shopping, etc.) engineers to integrate LLMs into our products and services.
• Contribute to the direction and roadmaps of Search and discover personalization and establish the right partnerships and collaborations, including partner product and research teams.
