Overview
Working at Atlassian
Atlassian acquired Loom to lead in remote first, asynchronous work. With Loom's async video expertise and Atlassian's team collaboration understanding, we aim to innovate and empower customers for richer collaboration. Join us on our mission to make the impossible possible.

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company. This is a remote position. To help our teams work together, you must be located in the US

Responsibilities
The Loom developer experience team is responsible for how code gets from local development to production at Loom. We are small team focused on delivering fast, friendly, and reliable developer tools for our customers (other loom developers).

We are looking for an accomplished and mission-aligned Software Engineer with an interest in developer productivity. The developer experience team does high-leverage work and you will find challenging projects across areas such as local development, CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and foundational application services. Your work will impact important initiatives by enabling our engineers to deliver a high quality product.
• Optimize the performance and reliability of our code -> production pipelines
• Improve our automated testing systems, observability tools, and general app foundations
• Keep a pulse on the issues and pain points faced by engineers across the company to help inform future work for the team
• Help the team improve the developer platform in whatever ways necessary to enable our engineers to ship with confidence and velocity
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience working with frontend and backend web technologies.
• 2+ years of programming experience. We use TypeScript and Go at Loom
• Familiarity with continuous integration services like GitHub Actions or Bitbucket Pipelines
• Willingness to dive into unfamiliar technologies and experience doing so
• An enthusiasm for supporting a community of developers and taking care of their needs

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $147,500 - $196,600
Zone B: $132,700 - $177,000
Zone C: $122,400 - $163,200
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.
