What are the React.js Features?
Let us take a closer look at some important features of React.
React has native libraries that were announced by Facebook in 2015, which provides the react architecture to native applications like IOS, Android and UPD.
Single-Way data flow
In React, a set of immutable values are passed to the components renderer as properties in its HTML tags. The component cannot directly modify any properties but can pass a call back function with the help of which we can do modifications. This complete process is known as “properties flow down; actions flow up”.
Virtual Document Object Model
React creates an in-memory data structure cache which computes the changes made and then updates the browser. This allows a special feature that enables the programmer to code as if the whole page is rendered on each change whereas react library only renders components that actually change.
Now, the main question arises in front of us is why one should use React. There are so many open-source platforms for making the front-end web application development easier, like Angular. React uses one-way data binding and an application architecture called Flux controls the flow of data to components through one control point – the dispatcher. It's easier to debug self-contained components of large ReactJS apps.
React does not offer any concept of a built-in container for dependency. You can use Browserify, Require JS, EcmaScript 6 modules which we can use via Babel, ReactJS-di to inject dependencies automatically.
ReactJS applications are super easy to test. React views can be treated as functions of the state, so we can manipulate with the state we pass to the ReactJS view and take a look at the output and triggered actions, events, functions, etc.
But managing the state can be complex. Although react provides us with the state property but passing the state from component A to component B can be quite complex when the application grows. Here is redux comes to the rescue.
Consider an application with two functionalities "Users" and "Products":
Users have authentication implemented where they can sign-up and sign-in and the users can view the dashboard only when they are authenticated. The other functionality "Products" also require user authentication information because the "Cart" operations will be accessible when the user is authenticated/signed-in. To get user authentication information at this part will require alot of state/props passing from "Users" component to a different section of the application "Products". This is when Redux comes in picture, it provides a central store (stores entire application state) which is then available to the entire application.
So, why do we need Redux?
If you have written a large-scale application before, you will know that managing application state can become a pain as the app grows. Application state includes server responses, cached data, and data that has not been persisted to the server yet.
Furthermore, the User Interface (UI) state constantly increases in complexity.

After action, returns this object, it is handled by Reducers. Reducers specify how the application’s state changes in response to actions sent to the store, depending on the action type.
The store is the object that brings them together. It holds the application state, allows access to state, and allows state to be updated.
The provider distributes the data retrieved from a store to all the other components by encapsulating a main base component.
This all seems highly theoretical, and may seem a bit difficult to gulp down first. But once you practically apply it, you will get used to complex terminologies and how Redux flows.
