Experience
Operations Co-Op at GreyOrange Robotics (2020/08 - present)
Tracking the deployment of 1200 Ranger-GTP Robots at XPO Logistics’ H&M warehouse in Perris, CA to help reduce order fulfilment time by upto 40%.
Graduate Teaching Assistant, Viterbi School of Engineering, USC (2019/08 - 2020/07)
Assisted Prof. Nitin Kale with conducting the Enterprise-Wide Information Systems class (ISE-583) that deals with guiding students to leverage SAP S/4HANA to integrate Business Processes in the Supply Chain - MRP, Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Make to Order (MTO), Make to Stock (MTS) and Sales & Marketing for a modal Muesli company.
Data Analyst, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, USC (2019/04 – 2020/07)
Locating vulnerable target groups in the USA from surveys gathered by NCES and CPES amongst many healthcare organizations to deduce inter-relationships between their childhood adversities, living conditions and illnesses. Using SQL to extract data, STATA to run regression models & Tableau to graphically interpret results, our team categorized groups vulnerable to the target condition (multimorbidity, hallucinations, violence etc.) & recommend counselling services.
Deputy Manager (Supply Chain, Sourcing & Quality), Ashok Leyland (2017/07-2018/12)
Managed warehouse inventory levels at AL’s Bhandara Unit by demand forecasting techniques to reduce stockouts to 1 in 18 from 1 in 15 order cycles during peak production periods as of 2nd Quarter in 2018-19.
Expedited dispatches of forged sub-assemblies from major suppliers in East India to Ashok Leyland's PAN-India manufacturing units. By identifying vendors using SAP MM-P2P Master Data and generating RFQs after running MRP for our Heavy Commercial Vehicles, our team helped satisfy critical end-of-FY orders to improve AL’s market share in this region by 0.8% at the end of FY 2017-18.

Projects
1. Storing sunlight: A Comparative Life Cycle Assessment of Pumped Hydroelectric and Lithium-Ion Battery Storage (2019/01-2019/04)
Please refer to my blog for an in-depth analysis of this project.
2. Sand Loss Reduction at Hinduja Foundries, Ashok Leyland. I completed an Advanced Problem Solving (APS) project to reduce sand loss from 18% to 11% using Lean Six Sigma Techniques like Kaizen (Continuous improvement), VSM, Root-cause (Why-Why) analysis, CAPA, FMEA etc. Our team installed a proximity sensor to identify maximum fill-level of hoppers and pour sand without overflow. Minitab used as the primary tool for experimental design. Estimated Cost Savings of upto $93,000 per annum were projected
(2017/10-2018/02).
3. Queuing Theory Optimizations to reduce idle (29%) and waiting times (36%) at Kazipet (NITW) railway station’s ticket counters and dentist’s clinic by recommending number of booths and consultation hours respectively as per historical passenger and patient arrival rates. C++ was used to identify and validate Kendall models satisfying each queueing behavior (2016/09-2017/04).
4. Soccer-themed predictive Model building, Techfest, IIT-Bombay - Utilized performance statistics from previous Premier League campaigns to develop a forecasting model to predict the champions of the following season (2014/09-2015/01).
