When things get messy, I see the potential for an order. Every new dataset is a new opportunity for me. DATA ANALYST AND DEVELOPER with two years of experience in Python, SQL, R, Tableau, and Excel.
"Data will talk to you if you're willing to listen" - Jim Bergeson. This quote is representative of what I think about data analysis.
I am a recent graduate with a Master's degree in Computer Science. My interest in Data Science surged after taking a Machine Learning course by Professor Andrew Ng during the senior year of my undergraduate. I implemented all the algorithms from scratch using Python and was fascinated by how we can manipulate large data-sets and identify critical information to make data-driven decisions for the company's growth.
I learned to develop/test/train/tune machine learning models, conduct exploratory analysis, and build data visualizations. Since then I have worked with data mining, statistical models including linear and logistic regression, clustering, PCA, image classification, decision trees, support vector machine, and convolutional neural networks.
I have sound communication skills and can act as a data translator by explaining complex algorithms clearly to a non-technical audience.
Apart from being a data enthusiast, I love to write about experiences, read articles and books, cooking, and Yoga. Currently, I am reading the book "How Not to Die". I recently developed an interest in nutrition books. If you have any favorite book in this genre, I would love to hear about it.
