  • Experience

    Apart from my coursework, I have worked as a Business Analyst Intern at VSolvit LLC leveraging my Business and Technical Skills.
    - Developed solid understanding of requirement management, requirements development, change management, impact analysis, business process analysis and Improvement.
    - Gathered and elicited requirements from all stakeholders related to additional features and
    enhancements using Storyboarding techniques.
    - Responsible for requirement gathering and writing technical and Functional specs for multiple
    projects. Created business use case, functional (FRS) and technical specifications.
    - Validated business rules and all artifacts with users, approval and sign off.
    - Scheduled meetings with developers, system analyst and testers to collaborate resource allocation
    and project completion.
    - Performed Gap Analysis to verify the compatibility of the new requirements with the existing
    functionalities.
    - Developed Process Flows, Activity diagrams and Use Cases to depict the business processes.
    - Participated in daily Testing review meetings.
    - Created Business Requirement Documents (BRD) for users and Functional Requirement Specifications / Documents (FRS/FRD) technical team.
  • Projects

    1) Analysis of New York Times Comments
    -Preprocessed the public comments using various text processing tools to identify the key issues triggering negative public opinions.
    -Performed sentiment analysis of the comments using MySQL DB, Oracle Cloud, Hadoop HDFS, Sqoop and Hive, Pig Fundamentals and N Gram Text Processing Features.
    -Presented the visualizations using Tableau.

    2)Online Store Management System
    -Successfully developed a database for an online store that needs to keep track of orders for its inventory.
    -Implemented complex PL/SQL and MS Access queries, Schema designing and Normalization.
    -Created a database using SQL queries for Data Manipulation and to capture the Information of the system users.
    -Performed Data Migration services across different databases, including MS Access, Excel and Flat files.

    3)Data Breach Discoveries in Healthcare using Tableau and R Studio
    -Performed data cleaning while integrating heterogeneous data sources: HIPAA Data breaches from Department of Health and Human Services and Breach Level Index using Microsoft Excel Functions, and found significant attributes on data breach metrics.
    -Analyzed and developed comprehensive visualizations of the HIPAA breaches using Tableau and R (packages used: dplyr, tidyr, ggplot2, ggmap).
    -Categorized data breaches with respect to location of their origin (state-wise or globally), the number of affected individuals, the number of records being breached as well as their risk score.

    4)Analysis on H1B Visa Petitions Dataset from Kaggle
    -Conducted analysis on large datasets to analyze the job titles for which the number of petitions increases over time in the United States.
    -Implemented Predictive Analysis to identify insights about visa petitions filed over the year, using SAP Predictive Analysis and SAP Lumira.
    -Curated interactive graphs and charts to support the analysis and the hypothesis made.

Whether it’s a Kanban or Scrum, Restyaboard is the best free tool for both. I have used Restyaboard for years now, so simple, so flexible, so easy!

Craig Weiss I have a small team colocated in Seattle, working in agile environment. Instead of going through the technicalities of online tool, we prefer a physical board with sticky to create board by hand. And that works perfectly for us.
