I am an aspiring data scientist who loves exploring huge data sets to find interesting and unique patterns. I also enjoy building visualizations and machine learning models to explain my hypothesis. In the pursuit of my goals, I have completed my Master's degree in Computer Science from New York University and my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science form SRM University.

Projects
Text extraction app, 2020
In the world of finance and business, employees spend thousands of hours shifting through documents to ensure they match a certain standard or if they contain a particular phrase or not. By automating this task, we free up valuable time for employees which can be spent doing research or by being more involved in business decisions. To help achieve this, I built a Python(Tkinter, PDFBox) based application which allowed users to read multiple PDF's in a given folder to make sure a particular phrase exists in them or not.
Recipe finder, 2019
In 2019, I built a cloud based web application which allowed users to upload an image of the items in their fridge to he app and the app would return recipes of dishes to cook based on the user's preference(cost, calorie count, etc.). In the case that an ingredient is not available, the app would display the nearest grocery store where they could purchase the ingredient.
Money in Politics, 2019
In 2019, I built a visualization tool using D3.js to allow users to visualize the money flow for US senators and help identify the industries which fund senators. The idea was to allow users to interact with the dashboard and find which industries funded which candidate and how funding would influence votes on issues.
