Projects
1. Designed an Experiment for a Catapult Simulation (Mar 2020 – May 2020): Using Minitab, designed an experiment to launch the catapult at the required distance using Central Composite Design method. The experiment had 5 factors each at 2 levels, with 7 centerpoints and 2 axial points.
2. Lean Six Sigma – DMAIC (Mar 2020 – May 2020):
Implemented Lean Six Sigma tools like 5 Why’s, Prioritization Matrix, Process Capability Analysis, Pareto and Run Charts etc., to improve the sales of a fictional business, Cookies for College. Used one-piece flow to avoid errors due to batching. Second party quality assurance check at the end of the process is also suggested.
3. Product Development Analysis on RC Monster Truck (Jan 2020 – May 2020): Product tear downed to the single possible parts and analyzed using Functional analysis of each part, Value Need analysis, QFD, Cost-Worth analysis, FMEA, TRIZ analysis. Developed a new design for the product with improved features that will increase the market value of the product for targeted audience.
4. Multi-Objective Optimization Model for Sustainable Waste Management Network Design (Oct 2019 – Dec 2019):
Created a shortest path for transportation of waste between Collecting facilities, Sorting facilities and Incinerators using Linear programming, optimizing cost and increasing the efficiency of the transportation.
5. Computational Fluid Dynamics test cases on OpenFoam (Jan 2018 – May 2018): Modeling and Validation of Standard Cases of CFD on an Open Source software (OpenFoam). Create Hexes Mesh for the test cases in Ansys ICEM CFD and analyzed the results using OpenFoam and to validate these results with standard test case results to show that open-source software can give same results as a paid software
6. Go-Kart Design Challenge (Apr 2016 – Jan 2017):
Worked with a team of 18 students to design and fabricate a go-kart. As a head of Power Train department, calculated the gear ratios to be used in the go-kart (1:3). Team had secured 7th rank all over India.
