Optimizing Pollution Routing Problem presented at SOURCE, 05/2020
• Final thesis project 09/2019-06/2020
• Back-end Language Used: C++
• Front-end Language Used: Python (Tkinter GUI)
• Brief Description: The project uses the basic model Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) further extended to Pollution Routing Problem (PRP). The basic model is updated using a Monte Carlo Algorithm (MCA). Further, two more optimizing techniques applied are the Discrete Differential Evolution (DDE) and, Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization (DPSO) with a Python Tkinter frontend. The objectives to be optimized are the fuel consumption rate and distance traveled and a statistical comparison is done between the different algorithm to compare effectiveness.

Sentiment Analysis presented at SOURCE, 05/2019
• Team Size: 3
• Language Used: Python
• Brief Description: Sentiment analysis is used to determine whether a message positive, negative, or neutral opinion. I used the TF-IDF (term’s frequency-Inverse Document frequency) technique to pre-process the input text (convert it to numbers) and the MLP (multilayer-perceptron) to classify the reviews. A sample of 25000 movie reviews from the IMDB website, trained our model using 75% of them, and tested it with the rest(25%). Following this process, we were able to correctly classify 91% of the reviews that were used for testing.

Hand-writing recognition using CNN presented at SOURCE, 05/2018
• Language Used: Python
• Backend Engine: TensorFlow
• Brief Description: This project was to modify the given code by our professor which used the MNIST data set with training and testing set validation which is used with Keras. The objective was to add 10 cross-validation instead of the train and test set validation. Change the number of hidden layers and run the code obtained in CPU and GPU and compare the time difference. Plot the result obtained.

Probability Density Function using R presented at SOURCE, 05/2018
• Team Size: 3
• Language Used: R
• Brief Description: Generate 23 Probability density Function using data distributions in R. Finding out R packages to use for each PDF. Generate a report which contains the different estimated parameters, Standard errors, correlation, and a plot for each of the PDFs.
