I am experienced recruiter with over 30 years of full life cycle recruitment under my belt. While I started in an agency environment, I found that I liked the role of a corporate (either as an employee or contractor or retained) recruiter much better because I could 'own' the complete process. As I have grown and gained experience, I have been able to prove that I am also an effective small team mentor and team lead. I have experience in a range of functional skills and industries. The bottom line is that I am an effective senior recruiter who can get things done and make a difference.
On the personal side, I have been happily married to my college sweet heart for many years and have three grown sons. And because I feel that life is too short to watch network television, I have created and sold art at street festivals, Comic Cons and Renaissance Festivals for the past 20 years. You can see what I create on my personal website - myviw.com. When you look at my form of at, please keep in mind that everything is cut on a scroll saw, I do not use a laser or CNC router, I use a good saw and have good hand - eye coordination.
Cheers!

Projects
I am a strong believer that professional experience alone does not paint a complete picture of a person. In addition to working hard, I feel that each person must give back to their community. I have been involved in numerous community and social organizations over the years but I am most proud of my work with the Odyssey of the Mind program (odysseyofthemind.com).
I started as a coach to my kids and helped them compete at the local Houston and Texas state competitions and eventually all the way to Odyssey World Finals. After they grew beyond competing, I stayed with the program and became a competition director. I have been helping run competitions in Houston and Texas State level for the last 15 years. Because of my involvement in Texas, I have been invited to help at the Odyssey World Finals for the last 10 years. I have also been involved for a number of years with a competition called EuroFest, which is a competition for European teams who qualified to compete at but could not afford to go to the Odyssey World Finals.
I feel that I am a very good recruiter and an accomplished artist in my art form but I am most proud of helping kids and young adults. One of my old bosses used to say that I was teaching kids to be interesting and creative so that when they grew up I could recruit them for interesting and creative jobs. Maybe it is true.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Cheers!
