I'm in love with Computational Fluid Dynamics!
I completed my masters’ and worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Wyoming. As a research assistant, I was involved in a project included CFD Validation of Generic Prismatic Planing Hull (GPPH) for calm Water and rough water condition. Rough water simulations were used to slamming of the hull in both regular and irregular waves. In this project verification and validation of CFD studies for ship hydrodynamics was done by using OpenFOAM where I validated the motion (heave, pitch, and acceleration), pressure, and resistance of a planing hull against experimental data. The simulations were run in parallel across multiple processors located on high-performance computing servers which were operated using Linux. As an outcome from that project, one part of the project was presented in the recent American Physical Society APS-DFD conference held in Georgia, Atlanta. I also involved in a Combustion project to get model equations of temperature and source term in the combustion of coal.
