Experience
Whirlpool Corporation
• Analyzed breakdown data building trends for prioritizing machines based on maximum breakdown time and reduced monthly breakdown time by 1600 minutes.
• Completed 4 kaizen projects reducing breakdown time to zero saving $361000.
• Generated weekly reports of top hitters so that they can be targeted first and reduced the average number of dispatch calls from 64 to 52 per day.
• Closed Emergency Work Orders using 5 Why’s and prepared part lists of critical machines for rebuilding model areas and their expansion for WCM Audit.
• Drafted Standard Maintenance Procedures for 5S implementation under World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
• Worked with vendors for quotations of new machines and prepared business case studies using breakdown data to acquire finances for Kaizen projects.
• Created Maintenance Preventative Information charts of countermeasures having design changes for Early Equipment Maintenance (EEM).
Siemens India Limited
• Scheduled and managed multiple EPC metro projects having a total worth of $15million.
• Worked closely with project management, engineering and procurement teams to keep a check on the completion of activities on time using Primavera 6.0 and TILOS software packages.
• Singlehandedly quantified & assessed scope from tender and developed project baseline schedules of Delhi, Nagpur and Ahmedabad metro projects with more than 10,000 activities and diverse work breakdown structures.
• Managed float and delay in activities in Primavera by updating the schedules every month.
• Developed narrative statements, time chainage charts, and project flow diagrams for improved management.
• Completed in depth trainings on Signaling Systems, Electrification Systems, Rolling Stock and Project Management of Metro projects across India.
• Gained knowledge about and worked on Basic Switchgear, Advanced Switchgear, Basic Automation and Basic Drives.
• Designed a project on Building Automation for a 20-story building with Fire Safety System, Emergency Evacuation System and air-conditioning systems using TIA Portal 13.0 Environment for Siemens PLCs.

Projects
Design of Experiments
Designed an experiment to optimize the energy consumption in boiling water considering factors such as ambient temperature, size of heating coil, nature of vessel and source of water with each factor having two levels.
LINKS Supply Chain Management Simulation
Improved the overall financial, operating and market performance of high tech manufacturing business by managing its supply chain functions such as forecasting, pricing, procurement, manufacturing and transportation.
Prediction of house prices in Washington's Kings county
Predicted the prices of house listings in Washington’s King county based on input variables such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms, living area, lot size, location, type of view, year of establishment etc.
Analyzing datasets and formulating the best predictive models using regression analysis.
Analyzed 6 datasets provided by the professor and formulated the best predictive models by minimizing error between test and training datasets using concepts of regression analysis.
Optimizing transportation resources to improve traffic efficiency and reduce travel cost
Proposed and Simulated a transportation system resulting in 13 percent more profit to the company as compared to the conventional transportation system and verified the same by comparing the two models in Arena.
Scheduling Optimization for Human-Robot Collaborative Systems
Studied different algorithms/models currently being researched in human robot collaborative systems in manufacturing and production scenarios and proposed the best model resulting in minimum makespan.
Fabrication of Mechanized Table for One Dimensional Movement
A one dimensional mechanized table consists of a platform which moves in one direction only with the help of A.C. 3 phase induction motor, lead screw and chain drive .The table can be used for multiple operations such as welding, flame cutting .Nut and lead screw enables it to move in both the directions with adjustable speed.
The Variable Frequency Drive regulates the speed of motor by varying the frequencyand voltage of 3 phase input supply. The platform can move in y and z directions respectively by a manual drive mechanism. The clamp angle can also be adjusted accordingly to change the torch angle during operation. The mechanized table platform provides a base on which we can place the work piece to perform any operations such as welding, flame cutting, brazing etc. can be done.
Time and Motion study of Boss manufacturing line in cab weld shop of Ashok Leyland
Completed a time and motion study of heavy-duty vehicle line in cab weld shop and reduced the cycle time of producing one cabin by 5 percent. Also proposed new ideas for the location of welding guns for better efficiency of workers and improvement in cycle time
