Roanoke’s Technology Department manages the city’s IT systems, including its in-house and vendor websites.
• Updated and tested .NET and Telerik versions for ~100 city departments on the city website to boost speed and improve functionality and user-friendliness
• Enhanced the city’s website with ~1,000 lines of code using C# and .NET to improve functionality
• Wrote SQL to access and modify ~1GB relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, enabling the city’s finance department to remove obsolete data and collect and sort new information
• Developed reports with SSRS, Crystal Report and MS Report Builder to visualize completed tasks for semiweekly meetings
• Resolved helpdesk tickets 1-2X per week to ease access and troubleshoot problems for website users

Grocery Recommendation System (UAB) Jan. 2019 – Apr. 2019
• Created Python-based data mining procedures using Apriori algorithm to help online shoppers save time by recommending frequently purchased items to add to online shopping carts
Cloud-based Attendance System (UAB) Jan. 2019 – Apr. 2019
• Developed Android app using Python, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Android studio to create live animated QR Code with cloud features like Elastic Beanstalk, Relational Database System and AWS Mobile Hub to streamline classroom attendance process
• Improved accuracy from easily forged sign-in sheets and saved professors 5-10 minutes of class time from “call-out” attendance processes by ensuring students must be present to scan an ever-changing live animated QR Code to be counted as “present”
XamClick (MBIT) June 2015 – June 2017
• Designed Android app and website using HTML, PHP and XAMMP with phpMyAdmin to streamline exam registration process by producing automated hall tickets with room and seat assignments, saving students ~1-2 hours of waiting time for each exam
• Enabled examiners to efficiently publish online results, making scores more accessible to students
