I go by the shorter version of my first name, Sneha. Born in India, I grew up mostly in Singapore before moving back to India for my Undergrad studies.
I am currently working as a Software Engineer at Viasat Inc which specializes in satellite and ground networks. I graduated with a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah. I have recently found an inclination towards Kubernetes and containers. In my free time I enjoy exploring tech articles in these domains. Other interests are, cooking and driving. I enjoy experimenting recipes in different cuisines, Malaysian being my favorite!!

Experience
I have over 1.5 years of experience in Software Development.
My team focusses on automation of manual system/component testing using various tools and frameworks.
I have exhibited proficiency in coding(Python, Groovy) as well as developed automated pipelines using CI/CD tools. To a great extent, I have used containers(Docker) and configuration management tools(Ansible) in my work.
Utilized AGILE methodologies for project plannings.

Projects
1. Currently developing a model which analyzes and reports component failures during a sandbox setup and maps the failures in a dashboard, to understand history of deployments for the upcoming satellite launch.
2. Designed a health check tool in Python and Groovy for retrieving satellite components’ states from a SQL database, to
report outages, used by 5+ internal teams. Integrated with Grafana and CI/CD practices for continuous monitoring and
alerts.
3. Researched and built a model using Ansible to reduce manual effort while debugging system issues. Reduced the time spent
in tracing and debugging lab issues by around 17%(initial implementation) and documented the design approach.
4. Hosted an application ‘minitwit’, a prototype model of Twitter on AWS as part of the cloud boot camp hosted by Viasat
● Launched instances into subnets, updated security groups to control inbound/outbound rules and utilized application load
balancers to distribute incoming traffic across multiple EC2 instances.
5. Built a rule-based bot integrated with slack using Slack API, that answers most frequently asked questions in a lab
environment, based on rules it is trained on
● Currently working on enhancing the rule-based bot built, by implementing a retrieval-based approach using NLTK and
Tkinter libraries in Python.
