Experience
I currently am working on a capstone project sponsored by Intuilize, a hardware distributor firm based out of Dallas. The company is in the B2B market space and is considering investing in a few of its customers and products.
As part of an apprenticeship , this role requires teams to identify the best candidate or candidates group to direct marketing investments with maximum returns on investment.
Given transactional data with over 50k records, the following is to be carried out
1. Perform EDA to identify key metrics, descriptive nature of the data and visualize correlations between features. Performed a deep-dive analysis of the data to identify key regions of sales, the relationship between customers and salesperson and turnover based on products.
2. Segmented customers and products in four categories based on sales revenue, revenue potential, contribution margin, and support costs. Segmentation yielded recommendations to increase sales by 17%
3. Devise a scoring system (ala FICO) to identify the performance/risk for each customer and further identify the necessary action required for the corresponding customer.
4. Visualize insights using Tableau/Power BI/Matplotlib to identify the best segmentation for investment and revenue generation.

• Provided liability analysis using Geolocation Data in HDFS and used Sqoop and Hive for data extraction and querying.
