Hi, my name is Daniel, and I am a full-stack web developer from Hawaiʻi. I'm moved to Washington State in the greater Seattle area to achieve my goal of landing a full-time job as a developer. I earned my AS degree from Kapiʻolani Community College, where I found my passion for programming, ultimately leading me to pursue a career in the field of software development. I have two years of experience working in the tourism industry as a tour guide and Japanese interpreter and currently work as a software engineering contractor at 1HP Games. My experience as a tour guide taught me how to build strong relationships with my clients and meet all their expectations through communication. I believe these skills are crucial in becoming a successful software developer and have been very helpful throughout my life as a developer.

Experience
At 1HP Games LLC, I currently work on a React-based application with a firebase backend. My work involves creating frontend layout with React and making the software logic to execute database calls to the firebase in the most efficient manner possible. We hold a weekly meeting in our team to discuss the need for any new features and solutions to existing problems with the current software. I have also recently started working with the Flutter framework for the company's new project. Although I do not consider myself to be an expert at Flutter yet, I find myself improving the more I work on the project. The apps that we work on are still under production, so I do not have a link to them, but I'd be happy to share screenshots upon request.
