Experience
1366 Technologies Inc., Bedford, MA, USA
Supply Chain Engineer
• Established efficient supply network and maintained strategic sourcing effort between research unit in Bedford and first commercial manufacturing unit in Cyberjaya, Malaysia considering cost restrictions, due dates, shipment size and government norms for more than 1800 unique components including machines, tools, silicon, zyafoam, and powders.
• Performed cost analysis on materials and presented useful insights to board members to reduce material cost of a silicon wafer from $0.33 to $0.19 by using Tableau and MS-Excel.
• Responsible for company purchasing and procurement, and managing inventory for Bedford research labs using ERP Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine).
• Managed more than $1,000,000 spend across purchasing of 1000+ products for research of 5th and 6th generation furnaces and operation of 4th generation furnace in research and manufacturing units.
• Completed an individual project for planning of manufacturing spray dryers which includes key responsibilities such as material purchasing, cost planning, and scheduling technicians to manufacture and ship it to Malaysia before due date.
S R Engineers, Ahmedabad, India
Project Engineer
• Executed project of installation of boiler and steam tubes in new plants, prepared plant layouts.
• Using 5s techniques and lean concepts, optimized the warehouse of S R Engineers resulted in 10% cost decrement.
• Handled purchase and procurement of valves, boiler parts and mountings, steam tubes and heavy cranes.
Star Engineers, Ahmedabad, India
Supply Chain Engineer - Intern
• Increased profit of company by 3% by applying heuristic techniques and sensitive analysis using excel solver for manufacturing of dished end.
• Handled purchasing and procurement of raw materials, tools and machines.

Projects
1. Prediction of lower back pain level using physical spine data (Data mining project)
• Classified lower back pain level as “Normal” or “Abnormal” based on response variable Attribute class and predictors such as Pelvic tilt, Sacrum angle, Scoliosis slope, Thoracic slope, and more. First cleaned and processed data by filling missing values adding dummy variable and removing duplicates. Performed k-NN, Naïve Bayes’ and Random forest using R with 86% accuracy.
2. Social Data News Site-Web Scrapping Database Project (Database Management)
• Scrapped data of top 20 Twitter users using Twitter API with ‘twitter’ library in Jupyter notebook. Created a conceptual model of the database and Created an Entity Relation diagram in MySQL workbench using scrapped dataset. Normalized data to 1NF, 2NF and 3NF. Stored data in tables and created views, stored procedures and functions and analysed Database.
3. Fantasy Cricket League (Data visualization project)
• Analysed data of each match played in Indian Premier League including each delivery in detail and data of records of each player of IPL. Identified and presented fundamental insights of data by creating different static and interactive graphs and dashboards using Tableau and R. Created a prediction model to predict price of each player depending upon their performance.
4. Mathematical modelling of world’s largest lunchbox service – Mumbai’s dabbawalla
• Segregated 10,000+ distinct locations of Mumbai city into different clusters using K-Means clustering algorithm in MATLAB. Calculated shortest path in each cluster to solve a form of vehicle routing problem to pick up lunch boxes from each location by using Simulated Annealing Algorithm, Genetic Algorithm, and Particle Swarm Theory.
5. Portable spot-welding machine (Project management)
• Proposed an idea of portable spot-welding machine manufactured by using scrap transformers to save approximately 80% cost and to increase 40% profit. Using MS-Project, detailed work such as WBS, Responsibility chart, RACI, Financial planning were done by team working as different departments of a manufacturing company.
6. Analysis of usage of bikes at various hubway stations of Boston
• 2 Sample T-test (Hypothesis test) were applied in Minitab to data of 4 prime Hubway locations of Boston. Analyse the usage of bikes at those Hubway stations over the period of 2 years and inferred to transfer half of the bikes to different cities in the winter because the usage in winter is 55% less than other time of a year.
7. Experiment on air-cooler for better indoor environment
• Achieved temperature loss of 4⁰C and 18% drop in moisture level by using silica gel, lithium chloride, and lithium bromide instead of water in air-cooler.
