Experience
Otis Elevator Company - Electrical Engineering Intern
• Developed, integrated and tested real time code generated using model based design (MBD) in MATLAB embedded coder for
the brake module in elevator drives.
• Performed model-in-the-loop test and created wrapper files to integrate the generated code with the code base.
• Analyzed CPU performance and memory utilization of the DSP.
• Conducted hardware-in-the-loop test on the dyne and validated successful operation of braking mechanism.

Projects
I have successfully completed 2 hardware intensive lab courses in the past 2 semesters namely the Power Electronics Project lab and the Photovoltaics lab.
In the first lab course, I designed a 2-switch Forward converter for the application as a universal AC input LED Driver with feedback isolation. I created the PCB layout, designed control loop, startup circuitry, and magnetics for the converter. In the latter case, I built a system with a Digitally controlled Buck converter followed by a Cascaded boost and a single-phase inverter.
During my summer internship, I worked with Model-Based Design and code generation using Embedded coder. This internship helped me considerably improve my coding skills. The lab courses, on the other hand, provided me considerable experience in testing, debugging circuits, parts selection, and documentation.
