Hi, I am Nabanita Ghosh and I am pursuing Master of Science in Marketing Analytics from IIT Stuart School of Business. I have experience of around 4 years as an Application Development Analyst in Accenture Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a global management consulting and professional services firm and I have worked in Accenture Bangalore, India. Prior to that, I have done B.tech in Information Technology from the West Bengal University of Technology. As a Technical Consultant at Accenture, India’s largest diversified conglomerate, over the last four years, I have honed my analytical and problem-solving skills, inculcated strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to make quick decisions. Additionally, coordinating with large international teams from the very onset of my career has equipped me with the skills required to analyse problems of varied complexities and formulate plans to execute tasks. The curiosity about how data could be leveraged to solve business problems and help organizations predict their future growth have sparked my inherent desire to switch into a more analytic role and specialize in Marketing Analytics. My goal is to use data analytics to consult small-to-large companies on ways to improve and grow their businesses. These courses will help me broaden my outlook, which has primarily been Technology-centred, by helping me understand the overlap between business and technology. I am honing over my skills in class by learning descriptive analytics to solve critical business problems, predictive analytics by using basic statistical techniques now and prescriptive analytics by doing optimization and simulation, methods that can have the greatest impact for companies using advanced analytics.
