- Dietary Composition of Different Countries – (Tech Stack -R, Tableau) (Methods Used –Principal Component Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Factor Analysis, Missing Value Imputation)
This was an Unsupervised learning research project implemented with my team, the dataset in we used in this one was about Dietary composition of different countries/region over a period. The idea was to infer insights as how different regions/ countries have different staple diets, how those foods/drinks relate to each other and to that specific region. After the analysis, we were able to understand the trends behind the data in terms of how specific regions are distributed of the basis of the food they consume and how it affects their health. This research can aid in other projects to understand why specific diseases are related to specific regions; how different dietary habits affects the health of people in a certain region to name a few.
- Factors Affecting Crime in the US- (Tech Stack –Python, Tableau, Excel)
In this project I worked with different datasets concerning the Crime rate, Educational spending/enrollment, and Median income state-wise. I cleaned, merged, visualized the data to uncover the hidden insights behind the factors affecting the rates of crime in the US over a period. The intention was to assess the impact of different socio-economic factors like educational spend, median income on the rates of violent/non-violent crimes. The insights I got, can be applied to reduce the crime rate in the US.
- Analysis of Pizza Joints in New York State– (Tech Stack – Python, Tableau, Excel)
I used three different datasets related to the US pizza restaurants, New York State events, New York State census. After cleaning, merging, visualizing, and analyzing the dataset, I was able to derive direct business application insights for the pizzerias. On the completion of analysis, I was able to comment on the optimal pricing, sales, marketing, and distribution strategies for the pizzerias in New York State.
- US School Districts Database- (Tech Stack – SQL)
Designed and implemented a relational and dimensional database, with the use of ER diagrams, complex SQL queries to insert, manipulate and update the data in MySQL workbench for US school district data over a 7-year period.
--TV, Halftime shows and Big Game – (Tech Stack – Python, Packages - Matplotlib)
The dataset I used was scraped and polished from Wikipedia. It is made up of three CSV files, one with game data, one with TV data, and one with halftime musician data for all 52 Super Bowls through 2018. I was trying to understand what the most extreme game outcomes were, how does that affect the TV viewership, how TV ratings, viewership and ad cost have evolved over time. Also, I tried to figure out who the most prolific musicians were in terms of Halftime show performance.
