Backend Developer – New York Life Ventures, New York, USA
• Automated the manual onboarding process of premium buyers
of the insurance policy sold by the brokers following the Agile
methodology
• Moved the team from excel to a dedicated application which let
they work parallelly on the same buyer’s policy, and let the
broker has the updates on the progress of the policy of the
buyers worth million
• Built multiple REST APIs using spring boot with backend
supported by PostgreSQL and making the application scalable
by hosting it on AWS cloud by adding load balancers
• Implemented high-volume and high-performance batch jobs
using spring batch processing, triggered it using CRON job, used
for sending out the reports to different stakeholders
• Leveraged JWT for token-based API authentication using AWS
Cognito, spring-security, and JWT libraries to keep the

• Created a food ordering portal which enabled the restaurant
owner to add their restaurant details on the portal and enabled
the customer to sign up and order food items from a specific
restaurant
