“A Researcher who doesn’t understand human psychologies is going to be no more successful than an architect who doesn’t understand physics" a quote that truly depicts the importance of psychology in UX.
I started my journey by studying psychology and my strong desire to help and care for others. During my coursework, I developed a strong sense of empathy for others through learning counseling, cognitive, and clinical psychology. I learned that life is precious no matter your age or ability.
The transition to user experience was because I have always enjoyed engaging both the creative and analytical parts of my brain and finding UX Research was the perfect mix of the two for me. My desire to help people has not changed. I intend to leverage my prior volunteer experience at NGO to bring a level of empathy and attention to detail that’s critical to making intuitive user experiences. With a view to know more about this field, I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction at UT Dallas, graduating in May 2021.
Also, I believe I am a problem-solver a team player, and thrive really well in fast-paced environments.
