Hi,
I am a second-year Master's student at Purdue University, pursuing a degree in Computer and Information Technology with a specialization in Cyberforensics.
With a high dynamic approach and ambition in pursuit of excellence in the field of cybersecurity, my knowledge quest includes the overarching domain of cybersecurity with a specific focus on cyberforensics, incident response, network security, IoT security, and Blockchain Technology. I also have an avid interest in bringing my ideas (however huge or small) to life via code. Android development is my coding hobby.
Currently, I am a board member as the Social Media and Marketing Director in Women in Cybersecurity (WiCys) organization - Purdue chapter. As being a part of the CERIAS - Purdue Organization, I enjoy exploring the various crevices of cybersecurity and privacy domain. At present, I am mentoring a group of undergraduates in their pursuit of research in the field of cybersecurity and cyberforensics.
Apart from academics, I am absolutely passionate about basketball as I have captained my High School team for 2 years, and my undergraduate University Throwball Team for 3 years. I have a strong belief in giving back to society in one form or another. Either be it through volunteer work which I was a part of, during my undergraduate days, or through a research project I contributed to, in my graduate period.
Overall, in brief, I am a 23-year old who shows up no matter what, learns and adapts quickly as and when required, passionately tries to contribute to the maximum, and makes sure to get the job done before the deadlines, even if it means putting in those extra hours to learn and grasp. I successfully complete my tasks by being organized. Accuracy with speed, critical thinking, and "on-the-spot" problem solving, data extrapolation with inference skills has been my strengths throughout. I take calculated risks while carefully analyzing and testing out options and choosing an optimal method to deliver. I go “by the gut” mostly, while laying out a well-thought process weighing all the pros and cons during decision making. With a "can-do" attitude, my efficient communication and analytical skills, and have always found ways to give back to my team and in turn, the company, or the institution.
