With continued growth in digital data and the desire to leverage data to address problems that touch all aspects of our lives, Azure Storage is growing to meet these challenges! The Azure Storage team is hiring a Software Engineer II - Azure Storage to join an agile and diverse engineering team.
As a Software Engineer II - Azure Storage, you will help build performant scale out block storage on DPU (Data Processing Units) hardware. You will be involved in all phases of the storage lifecycle, design, implementation, test, deployment and support. This opportunity will allow you to learn about cloud computing as well as building and supporting cloud services at scale.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C or C++
o OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in designing and implementing software related to storage data path.

Other Requirements:
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
o Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
o OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C or C++
o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C or C++
o OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of development experience in cloud or enterprise products related to block-based storage or file systems
• Experience working on storage technologies related to but no limited to compression, encryption, deduplication, backup and recovery, snapshots, storage protocols, etc.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
