Motorola's internship program offers an immersive experience for dedicated students ready to dive into real-world projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop invaluable business acumen. As part of our paid program, you'll have the opportunity to network with executive leadership while working on cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives with our R&D Team in our 312Lab in Chicago. Multiple positions are available.

Description and Requirements:
We're seeking a passionate cohort of undergraduate seniors, master's students, and PhD candidates in Computer Science or related fields to join our six-month internship program. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to:
• Engage in projects aimed at solving real-world challenges
• Design and develop prototypes, proof-of-concept applications, or visualizations showcasing AI applications
• Utilize machine learning techniques to build predictive models and algorithms
• Collect, clean, and analyze datasets critical to solution development
• Collaborate closely with experienced engineers, both independently and as part of a team
• Gain insights into AI applications across our devices, use cases, and third-party application ecosystem
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies

Essential Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program in Computer Science or related fields
• Familiarity with technical areas such as Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Software Engineering, or similar domains
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Available to work from the Motorola Offices 3-4 days a week, 222 Merchandise Mart Plz Suite 1800, Chicago, IL 60654
• Ability to work from July through December for the full length of the Internship/Co-Op

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in research, including internships, full-time positions, or lab work
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.)
• Involvement in research communities or efforts, including publication in major conferences or journals
• A genuine passion for Artificial Intelligence
• Interest in server infrastructure, networking, and IT solutions
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen enthusiasm for technology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive both independently and within a team dynamic
• Eagerness to embrace new challenges and opportunities for learning and growth
