Experience
● Electronic Engineering Intern, A. O. Smith, McBee, South Carolina
Writing embedded C code using communication protocol (UART) on NXP microcontrollers and PIC using MPLAB X IDE.
● Graduate Research Assistant, University Of North Carolina
Setting up weather monitoring stations for the Geology and Earth Sciences Department to gather data using Campbell Scientific
instruments.
● Graduate FPGA Power Delivery Intern, PSG, Intel Corporation, Oregon,United States
Implemented industrial standard SPEC ACCEL accelerator workloads in OpenCL to target Intel FPGA and make use of these
workloads to utilise the resources of the FPGA to test the power delivery network (PI).
Executed lab measurements in frequency and time domains with lab instrumentations (oscilloscope) on Intel FPGA.
Research paper published in Technovate 2019 (Intel’s internal Technical Journal)
● Embedded Hardware Design Intern, Trumpets Technologies Pvt Ltd, Nashik, India.
Developed a GPS tracking device using ATmega328P and Neo6m (GPS) and Simcom sim800L (GSM) for collecting vehicles
vital details such as speed, location, fuel level, and oil status and sending this data to a server.
Developed embedded code for the microcontroller and peripherals using C and REST API.

Projects
Direct Convolution on TinyDarknet | OpenCL, Neural Network, Xilinx UltraScale FPGA, Nvidia K80 GPU (UNCC):
Utilized Xilinx’s Opencl backend for creating an optimal Deep Neural Network (DNN) accelerator. Specialized this accelerator for tiny-Darknet. (https://github.com/SoumyaDeshapnde/DirectConvolutionOnTinyDarknet)
● Pre-Threaded Image Processing Server | OpenCV, C++, Pthread API, Google Cloud Platform, Linux (UNCC):
An image processing server based on a Multi-threaded producer-consumer model that accepts connection requests from clients to convert a color image to black/white image. Google Cloud Platform (IaaS) is used to implement server code.
● Home Security System | Raspberry Pi, Raspberry PiCamera, web sockets, Java, C, Linux, IoT (UNCC):
A Home Security System that closely models the CPI Security System. The IoT ecosystem in the user home consists of a back-end server(Android mobile app), Raspberry Pi boards and Raspberry PiCamera.
● Luminance Tracking Robot | TurtleBot 2, Robot Operating System(ROS), C++ (UNCC):
Autonomous luminance tracking robot detects the luminance value of an area in the simulated environment. The robot autonomously moves around the simulated world and records locations with their luminance value. The motive of this project is to further use it as a solar tracking robot with a solar panel and rechargeable battery.
● Blind Assist | Raspberry Pi, Ultrasonic Sensors, Python, Multithreading, Raspbian (SPPU):
A device which can assist a blind person in case an obstacle is detected. The device conveys the message to the disabled person through speech.
● DC-DC Buck converter | DesignSpark (PCB Design Software) (SPPU):
Designed a step-down DC-DC regulator that works on a wide input voltage range: 6.0 V to 20 V. The output voltage of the circuit is 5.0 V, with a maximum load current of 2 Amp. The regulator works on a switching frequency of 700 kHz.
