About the job
The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us in Raanana, Israel. In this role, you will contribute to the engineering of features related to the deployment and life cycle management of Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters.
You will play a central part in defining the architecture for OpenShift deployment infrastructure and in developing our offerings from inception, through upstream development, to delivery.

What you will do
• Create and guide new features, contribute to open source projects that are related to monitoring and diagnostics domain
• Collaborate with team member, stakeholders, product team, and other Red Hat Engineering teams
• Become responsible for the quality of our offering, participate in peer code reviews, continuous integration (CI), and respond to security threats
• Work with the Quality Engineering (QE) team to ensure projects are tested correctly

What you will bring
• Experience in a Linux environment with at least one of these languages: Golang, Python, Java, or C/C++
• Experience with multiple data centers architecture (storage, applications and IT)
• Debugging skills
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to research new domains and areas that are new to you
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

The following are considered a plus:
• Experience in the container ecosystem and microservices architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Nomad)
• Experience in cloud development
• Background in DevOps or Service Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Open source development experience
